A windy but thoroughly enjoyable, and important, afternoon brought a number of Emergency Services groups and personnel together for a “Thankyou” service at Coromandel Valley Community Centre. The event was hosted by the Mitcham Hills Inter-Church Council, and supported by Catherine Hutchesson MP and the Coromandel Valley Rotary Club. Rev. Martyn “Woody” Woodsford of Coro Valley Anglican addressed the gathering, and gave the blessing at the conclusion of the presentations. SAPOL, SA CFS, SES, National Park and Wildlife, SAAS and SAVEM were among the groups acknowledged and thanked. Adopted Greyhounds Amy and Bruno were popular guests, and even came home with a BBQ’s sausage each. Thankyou to all who contributed, including St John’s Grammar School students for an excellent afternoon tea.
