The SAVEM Mobile Care Centre (MCC) project is well underway. Coachbuilders ALDOM Transport Engineering have completed the initial engineering drawings and are working on the 3D modelling before construction begins. The Logistics manager and Coordinator met at ALDOM’s premises at Wingfield recently to discuss some details at the 2D drawing stage. Thanks to the team at ALDOM for their commitment to the SAVEM project.
The MCC will be ready for the 2025/2026 fire season.
SAVEM has selected a cab/chassis from Northeast Isuzu. After narrowing the field to two manufacturers and conducting an extensive Options Analysis, the Isuzu truck came out on top. The truck will be delivered to ALDOM’s workshop when construction is ready to commence.
The SAVEM All Hazards Mobile Care Centre project received funding from the Australian Government.

Interestingly, ALDOM are building a “virtual” dairy cow patient for one of the TAFE colleges in Victoria. The cow will be equipped with internal anatomy to avoid using live animals to teach students.
