SAVEM vehicle orientation training is a new training day added by the training team in 2022 to help volunteers build their familiarity with the SAVEM fleet in peacetime, rather than at the time of activation. Small groups rotated through four “stations”, each with a check list and a facilitator. The 3 hour session was well received by volunteers with positive feedback at the hot debrief at the end of the day. Along with Exercise InTent – inflating and deflating the Air Shelter field hospital – we aim to run this half day session again before the end of the year.
