On the weekend of 24 and 25 September 2022, SAVEM took part in the inaugural Hills Small Acreage Field Day at Echunga in the Adelaide Hills. We were invited to attend by the organiser of the event, Stirling Rotary Club, who were generous in their support of SAVEM by providing a triple marquee for our display. SAVEM Training Team members, the Logistics manager and Coordinator were in attendance on both days to raise awareness of SAVEM’s role, and answer questions from the public. The Coordinator gave a well-received short presentation in the Speakers’ tent during the morning of the second day.
Attendance at the Field Days was good, despite being quite a cold weekend, with many interesting displays of farm equipment, emergency services equipment and food stalls. SAVEM welcomes such opportunities, and we sincerely thank Stirling Rotary club members for their enthusiastic support. We look forward to attending the next time the Hills Small Acreage Field Days are held.
